Ok. I gots the questions...you wants the questions, I gots the questions... * Firstly, how have the after parties been for the Goo shows? Did you guys get a good turn-out? * (irritating journalist mode) How would you personally describe the pros and cons of being on a label like Good Charamel, which is owned by someone so well known in the industry and someone with a big fan following? Do you ever get paranoid about people becoming 'LC fans' for the wrong reasons (because they think it will get them closer to the Goos, end up marrying JR, or something)? How has it helped the band's career? Has it hindered it in any way? * Your new album deals with some pretty dark issues...suicide and the declining morality of the Western world, to name a few. With so many teenaged fans, does that affect what you write about at all? Or if not, does it lead you to be more conscious of what you're putting out there lyrically, in terms of knowing impressionable people will be listening to it? Is it a challenge to write about things that are global issues as opposed to personal ones? And do you try to encompass a global viewpoint, or just your personal take on a global matter...? Am I making any sense? *I* know what I mean... * If you could have one PROFESSIONAL wish right now, what would it be? * Who are your heroes...personal or professional? Minus ten points if you mention Bono. * Who's the most annoying band member when you're on tour? Is it Dave? I bet it's Dave X-D (Just joking Dave. I bet it's TJ really ) * WHEN ARE YOU GUYS COMING TO EUROPE?!! I'm planning an LC party. In a proper venue and everything. It's going to be classy. * Aren't English girls just the best? (You should probably humour me just this one time ) Ok I'm done for now.

a. are you seeing[dating!] anyone SpEcIaL?
Nope.
b. has the tour been InSpIrAtIoNAl or not so much?
Hit and miss...playing is always cool. Lots of organization and business type stuff that can definitely wear you out...but it has been cool seeing Augustana, the goos, and of course, counting crows...
c. do youre friends treat you like a RoCkStAr?
haha...no, my 2 friends don't treat me like a rock star...partially becuase I'm not a rock star but mainly because they've known me since I was 12 or 13...
d. who is your FaVoRiTe LC fan outside of Buffalo?
Oh man...terrible question...I can't answer that here!!!!
Duffs or Anchor Bar?
Duffs...anchor bar is overpriced...
Boxers or briefs?
Boxers
Hmmm I have one! What's your favorite city been on the tour so far? for whatever reason lol
Hmm...LA was cool, San Diego is always nice and same with Chicago...but we played near Indianapolis a few days ago and that was awesome...same goes for Pittsburgh today...
* Firstly, how have the after parties been for the Goo shows? Did you guys get a good turn-out?
ummm...hmmm...well...the shows have been fun...even to 2 people...
Oooh...an interesting one! Obviously, Robby's name and career help open doors...plus he's very into making interesting records (which is rare for a label - they generally just want to make a quick buck and leave you high and dry)...the biggest con is that he's a very busy man...he does have a day job that takes a lot of his time! haha...
I'm definitely paranoid about people with the goo connection...sometimes people are really odd and creepy about it, and some are just open about it. There have been a few people on this tour who have been very interested in meeting the goos, regardless of what they had to do (or what they thought I would want them to do)...a little eye-opening on this trip...
Good Lord! I'll try to dissect this one best I can. I'm very aware of what I say. I'm aware of who's listening and how it may affect them. But what I do is what I do...always about honesty. Nothing I say, I don't feel, is all that radical or difficult to swallow...just say what I feel and also what I desperately think needs to be said. People need to hear things that are deep and uncomfortable sometimes...but we also try to shed a positive light and show hope where there is hope.
Writing about these types of subjects is of course hard to do. To think and feel and expose yourself on something so big is daunting. But again, I write what I write...it comes out how it comes out and if it fits and means something bigger than me, we put it out I guess...and I say what I feel needs to be said from my own viewpoint. I'm not smart enough to think on a global level of speaking for people!
* If you could have one PROFESSIONAL wish right now, what would it be?
Professional wish? It'd be cool to sell some records and pay some bills...
* Who are your heroes...personal or professional? Minus ten points if you mention Bono.
Bono...Elvis Costello...The Wrens...bands and musicians who have overcome problems to make amazing music. Personally? My folks are really cool...Nick and Nathan are both important to me (hero is a big word!)...ummm...I dunno...not thinking all that straight right now...worn out and tired...
* Who's the most annoying band member when you're on tour? Is it Dave? I bet it's Dave X-D (Just joking Dave. I bet it's TJ really )
Oh man...everyone gets to be annoying sometimes (me included!!!!) - when you tour you're in such a confined space...it's easy to let peoples little issues get out of control and annoy ya...
* WHEN ARE YOU GUYS COMING TO EUROPE?!! I'm planning an LC party. In a proper venue and everything. It's going to be classy.
No idea...
* Aren't English girls just the best? (You should probably humour me just this one time )
English girls are cool and ask very interesting and insightful questions...
Will you put King of Failure up on Myspace? PLEEEEASE?
Soon!!!!
Think I got all of em!!!
thanks, tj

Wait I have some new questions! lol.
What song is your favorite to perform live?
If people take away just one message from any one of your songs, what would you want it to be?
Have you ever had a moment onstage where you couldn't believe you were playing there? And where/what was it? [good OR bad!!]
Wing question.... Hot, Medium or Mild?
What's the funniest joke you've heard?
What is your favorite U2 song?
Is Journey really even a band in your opinion? [long story but would love to hear your answer lol]
What venue would you kill to play at?
eh...that's about it for now lol.

Probably Pretty New Things or the Answer...I dig the powerful songs myself...
If people take away just one message from any one of your songs, what would you want it to be?
Oh man...I don't know...I guess just to feel something...
Have you ever had a moment onstage where you couldn't believe you were playing there? And where/what was it? [good OR bad!!]
hahaha...we've definitely had some "wow this is great moments" and a whole bunch of "wow, this is insanely stupidm to be here!!!" It was pretty cool opening for Bon Jovi...opening for the Goos on New Years a few years ago was great. Most of the good moments have been during songs...we've had some shows where we just really connected and that's always amazing...bad places? I won't go into details, but we've played an awful lot of strip malls, "rock and roll Denny's", and just random places a rock band should not be in. As Erin from the Daggers put it one night, "this song is called "This Stopped Being Funny 3 Cities Ago"...
Wing question.... Hot, Medium or Mild?
Generally mild...sometimes medium...can't handle hot
What's the funniest joke you've heard?
Nothing comes to mind...nothing clean anyways!
What is your favorite U2 song?
Geez...Where The Streets Have No Name, With Or Without You, Out of Control, The Fly, One...I could go on and on...
Is Journey really even a band in your opinion? [long story but would love to hear your answer lol]
Sure they are...they play music...but I don't like when older bands replace the singer and tour (Journey, Styx, Judas Priest, etc.)
What venue would you kill to play at?
Red Rocks...bunch of others...

Maria rocks the questions! Hee hee... What's the funniest joke you've heard? Nothing comes to mind...nothing clean anyways! "I'm trying to save you a thousand dollars..." Best joke of all time. Creepy Goo stalkers...awesome! Of course there was that one time I asked you if you could get me Robby's used handkerchiefs so I could sell them on Ebay. Creepy, who, me? X-D (Ok, this didn't actually happen folks...but hey, maybe that's an idea for ya TJ if you're short of money. Hahahahaha!) You know, personally...while we're on the subject...I think I'd rather never meet the Goos. I just know I'd mess it up somehow and they'd think I was terminally uncool. Kind of intimidated by the whole concept (like Robby with Ed Begley JR X-D) so you can be assured I'd never do that! But hey, if the handkerchiefs can sell for $10 or so... X-D Oh wow. So YOU get Goo groupies? So these girls are like..."If I sleep with you, can you introduce me to John Rzeznik?" or whatever...?! 0_o Dude, only *you* could get groupies for OTHER BANDS! Kinda funny. Kinda disturbing too though...

hey!! Do you collect anything? Were you in the HS band? I think there's an interesting mix of personalities in LC. Why do you think it works so well with everyone being so different??? My son wants to know if you've been in any other rock bands in the past and what were there names? Are you a self taught musician? I'll think of more later..... Lynn

If I wasn't in LC, I don't know what I'd be doing...I pretty much have this and nothing else that I could picture myself doing...plus, music has saved my life a ton of times, so there you go... Do you collect anything? I don't really collect much...right now I'm working on collecting pissed off fans...haha Were you in the HS band? Yup, played trumpet... I think there's an interesting mix of personalities in LC. Why do you think it works so well with everyone being so different??? Contrast is good...everyone in the band is a cool fella who adds their own vibe to the music and I just dig hanging out with them... My son wants to know if you've been in any other rock bands in the past and what were there names? Not really...I played trumpet and guitar in Major Healy, which was a Buffalo band a while ago (and Dave played guitar with them for a while) Are you a self taught musician? Yup...at least the guitar...my brother showed me a few chords when I was young but that's about it... tj
